Chasteberry tincture is fairly effective to treat premenstrual and menstrual symptoms. Symptoms such as fluid retention, anxiety, depression and cravings are reduced or eliminated. Pain and breast tenderness are also relieved. It is useful to alleviate menopausal symptoms as it reduces hot flashes and depression. Chasteberry tincture reduces prolactin secretion, thus treating hyperprolactinemia.

Chasteberry tincture is produced from the seeds of the Agnus castus plant.
